A portrait and dance photographer
based in Boise, Idaho.
ABOUT ME
I create editorial-inspired portraits using a relaxed, low-pressure approach that allows those I work with to feel comfortable in front of the camera. My goal is to deliver images that feel high-end while keeping the experience low-stress.
Outside of photography, dance has always been my greatest passion. I've spent the last 20 years performing professionally around the world with ballet and opera companies, Broadway national tours, regional theatres, and cruise ship productions.
My background as both a performer and educator plays a big role in how I work with my clients.
Years spent studying movement and composition have given me a strong understanding of how subtle adjustments can completely change an image.
Whether you're an experienced dancer or someone stepping in front of the camera for the first time, I'll provide clear direction and tips to help you look and feel your best.

- I am married to the love of my life and we have an adorable kitty named "Thumbelina."
- Travel is my favorite sport! I have visited 51 countries (and counting.) Brasil is definitely my favorite!
- I am OBSESSED with Peacocks and collect absolutely everything that has to do with them.
- I am the king of DIY projects and collect hobbies like merit badges.
- Once while working at Ralph Laurnen in NYC I helped THE Meryl Streep pick out a sweater.
About your Session
The plan:
Before anything we’ll dive into your creative vision for the images. We’ll discuss colors, clothes, hairstyles, inspiration, and all around vibes. Often I’ll create a collaborative mood board on Pinterest OR we’ll send inspo images back and forth to make sure we’re all on the same page.
WHat to expect:
Everyone’s face and body is different. There isn’t one lighting setup, pose, or color palette that works for everyone. In-studio or on location, we'll explore the best lighting, posing, and color combinations for you, to ensure your images feel specifically crafted to your creative vision.
If we're shooting dance — I. AM. YOUR. GUY. I have been in your shoes, I know what you're feeling, and I can efficiently communicate what you need to hear to make sure the photo is not only stunning but also technically correct.
During the Session:
The best images happen when you let go and have a good time. We're taking photos - not doing open heart surgery. All fun — no stress.
If you don't feel like a natural at posing — don't panic! I'll coach you through my signature "pose-flow" to help you find the angles and positions that flatter you best. It's actually my favorite part of what I do.
The entire process is very easygoing. We'll play music (bring your favorite playlist or feel free to suggest one), we'll laugh, we'll chat, we'll move, and get the shot!
